A galaxy cluster in the innermost Zone of Avoidance, close to the radio phoenix VLSS J2217.5+5943

The steep spectrum radio source VLSSJ2217.5+5943 shows a complex, filamentary morphology and curved spectrum. Therefore, the has previously been classified as phoenix. However, no galaxy cluster associated with this confidently detected so far because is located in direction of innermost zone Galactic Plane at b = +2.4 degr (innermost Zone Avoidance, ZoA). We analysed archival observations near infrared (UKIDSS) mid (Spitzer) to select galaxies immediate neighbourhood source. A sample 23 was selected candidate members.
